Stealing!

Each morning, i just love to read the new headlines of the newspapers, have a cup of hot nescafe, and smoke a cigarette or two.

and today i ran on this column on "stealing", or taking something that is not yours. The authorities arrested a guy who made financial fraud for 50-60 mil. Euros, and everyone is expecting other VIP people to fall too.

As the author says(by the way my favorite domestic writer), the stealing comes with humanity when Adam and Eva stole the apple. Other animals steal food too, but stealing is defined as taking more than you need, and animals take just enough as much as they need. Adam and Eva had everything and they have still stolen the apple. Even there was attempt, the golden nails that Jesus was hammered on the cross, to be stolen.

My opinion - that there is a paradox - that in Macedonia the jails are filled with criminals that have stolen very little cause they were poor(i am not trying to excuse them). the ones who are really corrupted(as elsewhere in the world) as governmental people, judges, journalists/media are out - and those are the ones that are existing to defend the moral fiber and human values, and they are just not doing it, but abusing it.

what do we expect then from the rest of the people? maybe the author of the column was right!

maybe stealing is in our nature!

My favourite place!

Being so busy at the moment with work, finals, spanish classes and exams, papers, etc etc, its just making me appreciate my free time a lot more then usual. And also people usually say, what you dont have, you like it more.

Well, last week, we arranged that we will go on a trip 6 hours before. Got the fishing gear, filled up the tank with gas, got barbecue and beer, good friends and hit the road in 6AM.

By 8AM we were at Mavrovo, having breakfast at the best places ever. just looking at the wonderful lake there. The guys left me at the lake so i can fish, and they went for the near by village. What no one knew was the weather forecast. and that storm was coming.

I was freaking soaking wet, but the fish just started to bate. so thats good. i didnt wanna hide or go away. and we have lunch coming:) and the weather was clearing, so awesome day in front of us.

Who has the ball?

You go on a meeting, and you wait for an hour! You want to leave, but you cant, this is too important for you to leave!

In the 30 min that i waited more today before i left there were couple of things on my mind.

1. i am kinda nervous for all the waiting. when i am nervous, i cant think right. i am not myself.
2. it is really true that he cant finish on time with his previous meeting? and is he feeling guilty or unprofessional because of that or he is doing it on purpose?

so i was wondering who has the ball right now? negotiation wise! (small things make big difference)

1. Is it him? cause me waiting means that he doesn't respect me enough leaving me waiting and shows me "who is in charge"? (and that makes me nervous)
2. Is it me? cause he feels that that was really unprofessional and thats important for him! (so i have advantage on the next meeting, cause he has to explain him self and say sorry)

all this having in mind that both parties are really professional and its kinda friendly negotiation.

what do you think?

Refreshing!

Meeting new people has always been something that i really like. In these last years i had lots of different people from all over the world sleeping over at my place. AIESEC Conference, traveling, friends visiting, or just partying around...

Last couple of days there were some AIESECers - Ali, Jenna and Adam visiting Macedonia. They were traveling around, so it was a good chance to hang out with them.

Just listening to them and their different perceptions, experiences, what is important for them, noticing their values or principles, different sense of humor, different reality etc, is broadening my understanding and perception of things. i really like that. always something new to hear or learn.

its so.......refreshing!
